The talent and commitment that our staff members bring to our work help make Humanity United (HU) a more impactful organization. Today, we are pleased to introduce the newest members of our HU family: Sam Lee, Rola Abimourched, and Sandy Tesch Wilkins.
Sam Lee
Manager, Technology Innovations
Based in our Washington, D.C. office, Sam is the Manager of Technology Innovations. In this role, he will focus on leveraging technology and civic tech partnerships to strengthen protection and reduce exploitation of migrant workers.
Sam’s experience spans the public, private, and non-profit sectors. Prior to joining Humanity United, Sam worked as an Open Data Specialist & Research Lead at the World Bank Group applying innovation and technology to the Bank’s work and portfolio. He has also served as an international policy specialist for the U.S. Government, designed and monitored aid-delivery mechanisms in North Korea for a medical relief NGO, and worked as a public relations officer for Habitat for Humanity, International and the Jimmy Carter Work Project.
Sam is a graduate of Rutgers College and the Harvard Kennedy School.
Rola Abimourched
Manager, Investments
Based in the Washington DC office, Rola is an Investments Manager focusing on the Nepal-Qatar corridor. She will work on developing partnerships in Qatar.
Prior to joining HU, Rola was a Program Specialists in the Global Program at Polaris where she was in charge of building partnerships in the Middle East and North Africa. She previously worked with migrant domestic workers in Lebanon to help advocate for better protection and working conditions.
Sandy Tesch Wilkins
Manager, Investments
Sandy is a new Investments Manager in San Francisco, focusing on corporate engagement.
Prior to joining HU, Sandy was a full-time MBA student at UCLA Anderson School of Management where she served as president of Net Impact and interned with the Tides Foundation in impact investing. Before business school, she was a major gift officer for the University of California, Berkeley.
Outside of work, Sandy has volunteered for the Red Cross for more than 16 years facilitating leadership development and policymaking processes in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
