Sabiha Khan is an Advisor for Policy and Government Relations at Humanity United where she works on developing relationships and engaging with key government and advocacy stakeholders in pursuit of legal and policy change, regulatory action, and public funding.
Prior to joining HU, she was Senior External Relations Officer at Refugees International. Sabiha worked to shape humanitarian policy at the national, multilateral and regional level as well as shape the overall advocacy strategy of the organization. She completed research trips to Pakistan, Qatar and Türkiye and co-authored two policy reports with Refugees International. Her work and analysis have been featured in CNN, Al Jazeera English, PRI The World and Newsweek.
Previously, Sabiha served as a field representative for California Senator Dianne Feinstein in Los Angeles, California. For five years, she worked alongside Senator Feinstein’s legislative team in D.C., served as a liaison for advocacy organizations throughout Southern California, supported federal grant and appropriations requests and maintained a broad portfolio of federal policy issues including human trafficking, child welfare, and immigration.
She has a BA from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in Political Science and Middle Eastern and North African Studies and earned her MA in International Relations from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), with concentrations in Conflict Management and International Economics.
