Liz leads Humanity United’s Independent Journalism & Media work. In this role, she partners with journalism and media organizations to increase understanding about issues of importance to HU.
Previously, she managed media relations in HU’s DC office and led communications for the Alliance to End Slavery and Trafficking.
Liz is the former Chief Communications Officer at the Center for Civilians in Conflict (CIVIC), an organization working to make warring parties more responsible to civilians. She was the Humanitarian Press Officer for Oxfam America, leading U.S. media coverage on humanitarian emergencies around the world. Prior to that, she led communications in Oxfam America’s Horn of Africa regional office. Liz holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Haverford College.
