Christina Preston

Manager, Grants Management

Christina joined Humanity United in 2024. As a Manager, Grants Management, she provides grantmaking operations support, including technical assistance, training, and thought partnership to programmatic colleagues.

Prior to joining HU, Christina worked for the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation’s Partnerships team, where she provided operational support for three grantmaking portfolios focused on equity, locally-led development, and the philanthropic sector. Christina also spent several years working for the Hewlett Foundation’s Global Development and Population program, supporting the Quality Education in Developing Countries Initiative, the Transparency, Participation, and Accountability portfolio, and later providing operational support to the entire program.

Christina holds a master’s of education degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Seattle University, and has taught ESL to high-school and adult students in both South Korea and Seattle. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from California State University, Chico, and a Nonprofit Management Professional Development Certificate from San Francisco State.
