Alanoud Hamad

Manager, Public Engagement

As a Strategic Communications Manager at Humanity United, Alanoud Hamad has played a key role in enhancing the organization’s external communication channels, including the website and intranet. Previously, she dedicated her professional endeavors to advocating for healthcare as a fundamental human right. As an international medical missions coordinator, Alanoud coordinated 32 pediatric surgical missions, overseeing procurement, grant writing, business development, and travel logistics.

Her previous work includes conducting case studies for institutions like Los Angeles County General Hospital, where she optimized how to communicate a bed turnover system to staff. She has also contributed her skills to drafting a humanitarian aid assessment for UNICEF’s South Asia Regional Office, with a focus on leveraging digital tools to increase youth engagement in aid planning.

Driven by a strong belief in the intrinsic value of every individual, Alanoud now supports initiatives aimed at combatting forced labor, human trafficking, and peacebuilding. She is also a professional mentor to high school-aged youth, who are pursuing a career in STEM.

Alanoud holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Cell Biology from the University of California, Riverside, as well as a Master of Science in Global Medicine and Non-Profit Management Operations from the University of Southern California. Additionally, she earned a Master of International Affairs in Human Rights from Columbia University.
