This week, Tim Isgitt, Managing Director at Humanity United, wrote for Media Impact Funders about recently published guidelines for funders of media.
In the blog, he suggests that while the relationship between funders and media organizations should be mutually beneficial, it can at times be risky if there are not clear guidelines in place to help define the relationship.
For this reason, a team from the American Press Institute (API) brought together a group of funders and media representatives to develop guiding principles that can provide a framework by which both groups can understand and relate to one another, ultimately leading to more effective media partnerships.
