As part of HU’s effort to support and expand the space for dialogue in the United States, we are pleased to announce we are supporting a public conversation with Van Jones in collaboration with Newbigin House of Studies.
CNN political commentator, Van Jones, gained notoriety during the 2016 presidential campaign. In the cable news landscape of shouting matches, his civility went viral. In his new primetime program, “The Van Jones Show,” he continues to “detoxify and depolarize the chatter.” In his recent bestselling book, Beyond the Messy Truth: How We Came Apart, How We Come Together, he points a way out of the tribalism that is tearing the country apart and calls on all sides to abandon the politics of accusation and come together to focus on real solutions.
