Emily is the Associate Program Manager for the Asia Pacific Seafood Program within Humanity United’s Forced Labor & Human Trafficking portfolio. She helps to manage and support the grants management process, strategy, research and learning efforts, budget planning, and communications and policy engagement.
Prior to joining HU in 2019, Emily worked as an Education Database Intern for Operation Smile, a medical nonprofit based in Virginia Beach, and for the Christopher Newport University Center for American Studies as a Junior Fellow. Volunteering with International Justice Mission and various children’s development organizations over the years led her to pursue a career in human rights philanthropy.
Emily received her bachelor’s degree from Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia, where she was a double major in Political Science and American Studies with a double minor in US National Security and Leadership Studies.
