Salil Shetty (pictured left), Secretary General for Amnesty International, visited the HU office yesterday and met with Randy Newcomb, our President and CEO.
Salil is a long-term activist on poverty and justice who was visiting San Francisco to deliver a keynote speech at RightsCon, a conference dedicated to exploring issues surrounding the internet and human rights.
During their meeting, Salil and Randy discussed Amnesty’s commitment to using technology and new forms of documentation to maintain a reliable chain of custody for human rights abuses. They also talked about Amnesty’s 2016-2019 strategic plan.
