Melissa joined Humanity United in 2017 as Office Manager for the San Francisco headquarters. Prior to her start with HU, Melissa worked as the Office Manager at Third Rock Ventures, a venture firm focused on building transformational biotech companies. Previously, she supported operations at di Rosa Art Center in Napa where she directed facilities, visitor and employee engagement, and assisted with collection care. Before returning to the Bay Area in 2012, she served as exhibitions manager at multiple nonprofit and alternative art spaces in San Diego.
Melissa received her Master of Fine Arts from the San Francisco Art Institute, and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Michigan State University. She also holds a Core Certificate in Arts Management from UMass Amherst.
