Aaron McQuade

Aaron joined Humanity United in 2018. As a Manager of Communications, he helps advance HU’s mission through strategic communications, with a focus on storytelling, media strategy, and messaging.

Prior to joining HU, Aaron worked for the California Association of Public Hospitals and the California Health Care Safety Net Institute, where he oversaw communications efforts to support the provision of health care to low-income and uninsured Californians.

Previously, Aaron managed communications for the Partnership for Children & Youth, where he helped launch the HousEd initiative to connect affordable housing communities and their local public schools, and he directed the News and Field Media Strategy department at GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) where he helped journalists and news outlets responsibly cover the LGBTQ community.

He has a background in audio engineering, and prior to his advocacy career, he was a producer, reporter, and news anchor for SiriusXM Radio.
