
Cindy is an operations and facilities management professional with over nine years of experience in project coordination, workplace logistics, and process improvement. As Manager of DC Operations at Humanity United, she oversees office operations, vendor management, and workplace policies to enhance efficiency and collaboration in the Washington, DC office.
Prior to joining Humanity United, Cindy worked in both public education and the nonprofit sector, leading operational and strategic initiatives to improve efficiency and accessibility. At Prince George’s County Public Schools, she developed district-wide procedures that optimized engagement for over 30,000 English Learners and their families, improved record management, and ensured compliance with operational standards. Beyond operations, Cindy has a strong background in advocacy and equity-driven program design. As a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Strategist with Kindred Communities, she co-led citywide initiatives that engaged caregivers, educators, and policymakers, ensuring diverse voices were represented in decision-making spaces.
Committed to fostering inclusive and effective work environments, she applies a diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice (DEIJ) lens to operational practices. Fluent in English and Spanish, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Justice Studies with concentrations in Women’s and Gender Studies and Spanish from Arizona State University.
